A. Signups are announced on the school bulletin. Signups are held at lunch during the first week of school. Just have them put their name down. From there we will send them an invite to Google Classroom.
A. NO, we do not make any cuts. Everyone is welcome to run with us. The only requirements are having a current physical on file with the school, filling out the emergency info packet (will be digital in 2025) and following our 4 rules.
A. Need is a strong word. Helpful is better. A timing device is great. We prefer a Garmin watch (used ones can be had for less that 100 bucks). Apple watches work well too. This allows them to join our private Strava Club. Strava allows your runner to see their progress as well as us coaches. See more info about Strava on the important links page.
A. We will take all the help we can get. Photos and videos of the team are great. We create an end of year recap video and need all the material we can get. We have a popsicle signup genius for the end of Friday practices and meets. You can help carpool to Friday meets. We meet at the cul-de-sac on meet days at 2:45pm. Please fill out the PGUSD driver form. We also have an Amazon Wishlist that is updated for each season. If none of those flavors are your taste, we also can use monetary donations. We have to pay $5.00 per athlete for invitational meets. Speaking of money, we also run a Big Sur Half Marathon aid station every year. This helps cover some of the cost of making apparel for the kids. We need 10 adults and 20 kids. Sign up here. Password is PGMXC (no "S")
A. We know that many runners have other interests. Music, other sports, clubs, etc. We think runners should be well rounded and do support that. However, we do have 1 other rule that wasn't mentioned. To be able to compete in a meet, you must make 75% of the practices that week (unless they are sick).
