10/4/24 - Before we get to all the greatness that was our home meet debut, we must first stop and honor all the parents who stepped up before, during, and after the meet to help make this event run smoothly. Thank you! I genuinely can’t express my gratitude enough.
Now, on to the racing!
Our Breakers Varsity Girls set the tone early, with all seven runners finishing in the top 10! Eleanor Holt continued her undefeated streak with another victory, solidifying her status as the lady to beat in the MTJAL.
Next up were our Varsity Boys. The talent in the MTJAL this season is deeper than ever. Gabe Alt led the way for us, finishing 4th, with Albert Lynch close behind in 6th. Overall, our boys put up a strong effort, finishing 2nd to our crosstown rivals, Carmel.
The last—and largest—race of the day was our coed JV race. Through the clouds of dust kicked up by this squad, I saw more smiles than in any other race! Maya Sharma took home the win for the JV girls, with our 6th graders MacKenzie and Baylee not far behind in 3rd and 4th. For the boys, another pair of 6th graders, Edden and Noah, led the way with impressive efforts.
From a coach's perspective, the day was a huge victory, and my pride for this team has never been stronger. Each runner showcased not only their talent but also their determination and teamwork, which made this meet a true celebration of our Breakers spirit. Watching our athletes support each other, push their limits, and strive for greatness was incredibly inspiring.
As we head into the league championship at Carmel, I’m excited to see how our hard work will pay off. Let’s finish the season strong and show everyone what Breakers pride truly looks like! Go Breakers!

9/27/24 - This race day, we faced warmer-than-usual conditions for our meet, and with the heat turned up, we asked our runners to focus on racing rather than chasing personal records. The goal was simple: compete hard and learn from the experience.
Our Girls Varsity team continued their dominant streak, securing another 1st place finish, just like last week.In fact, they nearly posted a perfect score of 15, coming incredibly close but finishing with 16 points instead . The grit and determination from our girls were on full display.
The Boys Varsity, unfortunately, faced challenges, with several team members sidelined due to illness and injury. Despite being down, the boys gave it their all, with half the team clocking season-best times. But it wasn't our day, as we ended in 6th place with 130 points. Still, the effort and heart shown by each runner was undeniable.
Our JV squad also turned in some solid performances, with a few athletes making significant time drops. It's always great to see the growth and improvement as the season progresses. These Breakers should be proud.
All in all, it was a day of learning and competition, and we’re proud of the effort everyone put forth. We race again this Friday, and for the first time, it will be on our new home course! We’re excited to leverage that "home course advantage" against the rest of the league. Let's hope for cooler weather and a great race day!

9/20/24 - On an overcast afternoon at Carmel Middle School, our Breakers came ready to race—and race they did. At 4 p.m. sharp, our girls’ varsity team hit the trails to take on the league. Every one of our lady runners finished in the top 10, securing a decisive victory over our rivals, Carmel.
Not to be outdone, our boys' varsity team followed suit, earning a win over Carmel, who finished 2nd in both races. Wrapping up the day was our coed JV race, with several impressive PRs from our Breakers.
We’ll be back at the Cougar’s home course this Friday, 9/27, aiming for a repeat performance. However, this time it won't be so easy. Carmel will be back at full strength, with their 8th graders back from a school trip.

9/7/24 - What a great day for a race. We had 20 runners toe the start line in today's race against 5 local middle school teams. With a cool fog covering the course our Breakers took home a total of 4 medals (2 for the boys and 2 for the girls). But more impressive than the hardware was the wall of breakers cheering their teammates through the finish line. Click below to see finishing times.
9/5/24 - Our first practice race is in the books. Amazing effort by all our runners. Here are the official results.
